Although Koreaboo is a derogatory term referring to people too obsessed with Korean culture, it is now widely used in the US to describe K-pop fans.

Does liking Korean culture make you a Koreaboo?

Wanting to learn Korean, its cultures, and live in the country does not make you a koreaboo, and liking k-pop and k-dramas do not make you a koreaboo! Though doing things such as fetishizing Koreans and their society will make you a koreaboo.

What is Korean bias?

“Bias” in K-Pop is basically someone’s most favorite member of an idol group. It is derived from the original way the word is used, to have a bias towards someone. So for example, if someone asks you “Who is your bias?”, they’re basically asking who your favorite K-Pop idol is of all time.

Do K-pop idols sleep with fans?

They do hook up and few of them have gfs also. But it’s just that they do not expose it in public. They try to keep it as private as possible. Just don’t believe it cuz they have been many instances where idols hooked up with fans, went to strip clubs and even mastrubated back stage.

How do you know if you’re a Koreanboo?

Contributors from Urban Dictionary describe a Koreaboo as “someone who is obsessed with Korean culture so much they denounce their own culture and call themselves Korean.” Yes, there are non-Korean people out here who are claiming themselves as Korean.
