Is Codeforces harder than Leetcode?

Codeforces has difficulty level direction and leetcode also has. Comparing to UVa , leetcode is much more simpler. According to codeforces, you can say leetcode has the equal level of CF-div2. I’ve used both platforms pretty extensively to beef up my data structures and algorithms knowledge.

Codechef organises a 10 day long contest (good for beginners), Codeforces doesn’t. I personally feel codechef is better for beginners to practise as the have a lot of problems sorted according to difficulty level.

Topcoder is fine once you are familiar with the arena. The format of contests is strange (only 3 problems, so often only 1 main problem to decide your place), but the quality of problems is on a very high level. The topics are close to atcoder, a bit forces by the input size limitation.

Topcoder is really the best when it comes to problem ideas but I agree it’s UI is very bad. Atcoder — superb quality of problems that require thinking more than implementing. Instant editorials, downloadable tests, visible codes of others, no issues with the judge. Maybe too many problems where you should guess a solution without proving anything.

How do you interact with the community on Codeforces?

There is no way to interact with the community but most of the after — contest discussions (no matter what online judge) are carried out on Codeforces anyway. Codechef — The reason that most of the good competitors don’t compete on Codechef is quite obvious (I think).
