What comes after differential equations and linear algebra?

Usually, after calculus comes linear algebra, multivariable calculus, differential equations, and some sort of introduction to proofs, so if you haven’t done those things, do those. From there, basically everything else in an undergraduate curriculum is available, so you can probably pick whatever looks interesting.

Should I take differential equations and Calc 3 at the same time?

Nothing in differential equations is needed for calculus 3. The only topics in calculus 3 that are used in differential equations, are the ideas of the total differential and the partial derivative. Those two ideas are used early in a d.e. class when you do exact differential equations.

Is calculus 3 harder than differential equations?

It’s not a matter of one being more difficult than the other- Topics from Calculus III are used in Differential equations (partial derivatives, exact differentials, etc.). Calculus III can be taken at the same time, but that is harder. Calculus III should be a prerequisite for Differential Equations.

What is this course differential geometry?

Course Description This course is an introduction to differential geometry. The course itself is mathematically rigorous, but still emphasizes concrete aspects of geometry, centered on the notion of curvature.

How to find the sum and difference of two vectors?

With respect to the given coordinate system, the sum of two vectorsxandyinR3is calculated componentwise: x+y= [x1,x2,x3]+[y1,y2,y3] = [x1+y1,x2+y2,x3+y3]. Similarly for the difference of two vectors.

What is the best book to learn differential geometry?

The more descriptive guide by Hilbert and Cohn-Vossen [1]is also highly recommended. This book covers both geometry and differential geome- try essentially without the use of calculus. It contains many interesting results and gives excellent descriptions of many of the constructions and results in differential geometry.
