How many students have been selected for the USA debate team?
Twelve students have been selected to represent the prestigious 2020-2021 USA Debate Team. In addition, 12 students have been selected to the USA Debate Development Team. This group of students will train and practice with USA Debate coaches and alumni to learn more about World Schools Debate.
What are the qualities of a good debater?
Be intellectually humble. For a debate to truly be productive, participants need to be willing to respect every viewpoint and change their minds when necessary. This is what psychologists call intellectual humility, and it’s one of the most important skills a good leader — and productive debater — can develop.
