What is the difference between INChO and NSEC?

Students who appear for INChO are eligible for Travel Allowance and Dearness Allowance as per the norms of the programme. As for NSEC, the syllabus for INChO is also based roughly on the school syllabus of class 9th and 10th (CBSE board). However, the syllabus of higher secondary school is only a broad guideline.

What is the eligibility criteria for INChO exam?

All students who qualify to appear for the INChO get a certificate of merit from the IAPT. The detailed guidelines for NSEC syllabus is not given but it is roughly estimated to be of the Class 11th and 12th standards (CBSE board).

NSEC is conducted in order to reach out the maximum number of deserving students from across the country. The selection to INO, however is based on the fulfilment of the following criteria-

How many previous year papers should I solve for NSEC?

You have to be fast. This is where I lost. So, it would be better if you solve as many previous year papers as you can within the time limit. For NSEC too, even NCERT is enough. But it would be better if you do your coaching modules too for strengthening your concepts. NCERT is a bit hard to read for some chapters .
