How do you ask a question on Quora and get an answer?

Anybody can click on the “Request” icon, located directly beneath the question. When they do this, a dialogue box pops up which allows the ‘requestor’ to select from Quora’s suggestions of people who they believe are well-positioned to answer the question.

Is it bad to say I don’t know when asked a question?

Most of the time it’s no big deal when you don’t have a solid answer right away. But sometimes a question can really stump you, and defaulting to “I don’t know” or “I’ll get back to you,” can risk diminishing your credibility–especially if those are your go-to responses every single time you’re put on the spot at work.

What do you do when you can’t answer a question?

Nobody’s perfect, and every once in a while you’re going to be asked a perfectly legitimate question that you unfortunately can’t answer. When this happens, first acknowledge the value of the question. Then be honest and explain that you’re going to need to look into it more.

What should you do when someone asks for your opinion?

If you’re asked for your opinion about a subject you haven’t thought much about, you might stumble trying to come up with something thoughtful, or worse, say something you regret that you didn’t mean. In these situations, the key is to think in the moment and then immediately look forward from there, not backward.

How do I ask people to answer my questions?

For any question, you should see an option to “Ask to Answer,” and you’ll see suggestions for people who can answer your question. Ask to Answer requests will be prioritized based on both quality and volume. High priority requests will go directly to the intended recipient and other requests will be aggregated.

What is an A2A or ask-to-answer?

What an A2A or Ask-to-Answer is and does is to “community-fy” what would otherwise be just a large collection of people. Other functions do that as well, but this one is one of the more personal. When someone is asked to answer, it is a specific person that is asked to answer.

Is there a way to make Facebook’s mandatory questions feature mandatory?

This Facebook feature is actually useless as people can still click the “join” button even without answering the questions. There is no way to make this mandatory. Now it’s up to you whether you accept them or not. If Facebook is serious, there should be an option for Admins to set mandatory questions.
