Can a laptop have a CPU and GPU?
In most cases laptop and pc have different CPU and GPU. For example i5 6400 is a CPU that is only used for pc and there are other versions of CPU for the laptop such as i5 6300hq. And for the GPU, there are different versions of GPU for laptops but some laptops have the GPU that are used in pc.
Do laptops have CPU or GPU?

Why does laptop have 2 graphics cards?
The primary benefit of running two graphics cards is increased video game performance. When two or more cards render the same 3D images, PC games run at higher frame rates and at higher resolutions with additional filters. This extra capacity improves the quality of the graphics in games.
Is external CPU possible?
Not really. To be an external CPU, the device would need to sit on the coherent memory bus – otherwise it’s really just an attached processor, like a GPU. External GPUs do exist, but they suffer from the next issue: bandwidth.
