Passing Criteria for Class 9 and 11 Students have to pass at least five subjects for promotion to the next class. If a student fails in one subject in Class 11, they will be allowed to write a compartment exam. If they pass the exam, they will be promoted to Class 12. The same criteria will apply for class 9.

Why is Class 9 important?

A student who is thorough with the class 9 subjects will find it easier to score good marks in the higher class exams. Those who have ignored class 9 have gone on to regret later in life. No, the marks of 9th class will not affect your 10th class result. If you are a ICSE board student the 9th marks of mathematics will not be counted in your result of class 10th.
