I have a couple of pieces of advice:

  1. Do not be intimidated by the introduction. This is where the whole paper is laid out,so it typically won’t be easy to follow.
  2. Take notes.
  3. Talk to people about the material.
  4. Skip confusing bits.
  5. Come back to the paper.
