Why did Vegeta lose to Moro?

Dragon Ball Super Chapter 61 opens with Vegeta preparing to face off against Moro. Vegeta then reveals he learned a move called Forced Spirit Fission, which causes Moro to lose the energy he drained during his time ravaging the universe every time the Saiyan Prince hits him.
