How can the Flash run in space?

Well, in the Silver Age, Barry Allen could actually propel himself through space at speeds much faster than light. He does this by ejecting thousands of atoms from his body per second. The only problem is that this ability weakens him the more that he uses it.

Can speedsters run on air?

No, he cannot. Most of the answers here detail the Flash not running on air, but using some medium to bypass it. Dust particles in smoke, water vapour in clouds, it’s similar to the Flash skimming across water, where he “skips” across as opposed to truly running on water.

Does Flash need to breathe?

While he can’t breathe in space when he is running the speed force sustains him. So in space if he stops running his need for air comes back.

How does the Flash run up a building?

“We run because of friction,” he said. More specifically, “the friction force is the weight of an object pressing against the surface of the ground.” Friction plants our feet firmly on the ground, giving our muscles something to push off from.

Can the Flash run on water?

12 RUN ON WATER One of the reasons The Flash deserves to be worshiped by his adoring fans is because his speed allows him to run on water. A normal human being would have to run almost 99 feet per second in order to keep from sinking. That’s three times as fast as the current fastest man on Earth, Usain Bolt.

How does the Flash run?

The Flash can, however, move his feet back and forth against the surface of the building, which would give the impression that he is, in fact, running. What he would actually be doing here is travelling a distance equivalent to the height of the building in the time between consecutive steps. That seems totally impractical, doesn’t it?

Can flash be able to breathe in space?

Flash has never been demonstrated as being able to breathe in space, or to hold his breath for superhuman lengths of time. His ‘powers and abilities’ section on Wikipedia doesn’t mention anything about it, though it does mention that he has the ability to generate a field around himself that protects him and his clothes from air friction.

Can the flash use the Speed Force?

I can make a case for a Flash capable of utilizing the Speed Force, being able to survive in the vacuum of space. One of the Flash’s powers allows him to become intangible to matter and able to ignore his environment. This power becomes active when he starts moving faster than the speed of sound.

Can the Flash run up the side of a skyscraper?

Anyone can scale buildings just by running up their sides, provided they’re fast enough. Since the Flash is faster than the fastest thing we humans know of (i.e., light), he can undoubtedly run up the side of a skyscraper. The physics checks out on this one.
