What was Pandu disease?

Pandu died as the result of a curse. Once while hunting Pandu aimed his arrows at what he thought were two deer. Upon going close, he realised they were actually the rishi Kindama and his wife getting intimate.

Why did Pandu go into exile?

He was a brave king who conquered various kingdoms of Bharatvarsha. However, one fatal mistake brought him down: he accidentally shot a rishi. Because of this grave sin, he was cursed that if he ever had sexual intercourse, he would perish. After this incident, Pandu and his wives Kunti and Madri went into exile.

What happened to Pandu after Madri’s marriage?

After Madri’s marriage, Pandu voluntarily renounced royal life as penance for having accidentally killed the sage Rishi Kindama and his wife. At his death, Rishi Kindama cursed Pandu that he would surely die if he attempted to have sexual relationships with his wives.

Draupadi and the Pandavas. In the Mahabharata, a Hindu epic text, the Pandavas are the five acknowledged sons of Pandu, by his two wives Kunti and Madri, who was the princess of Madra. Their names are Yudhishthira, Bhima, Arjuna, Nakula and Sahadeva. All five brothers were married to the same woman, Draupadi.

Why were the Pandavas sent to exile for thirteen years?

A spiteful Duryodhana invited Yudhishthira to gamble their possession in a game of dice, which was one of the turning points of the epic. Yudhishthira betted and lost his wealth, kingdom, and possessions due to his gambling, which was also attributed to Shakuni rigging the dice game. Therefore, the Pandavas were sent to exile for thirteen years.
