Generally, all the NITs offer students to change their branch after first year. Like in NIT Rourkela and Warangal and Delhi, B. Tech students who have secured CGPA of 8.5 or more and have passed all the credits prescribed in first attempt at the end of the first year are eligible to change their branch.
