What is DEVONthink? DEVONthink is a database for tagging and tracking information of all kinds. Using tags and groups to classify your data, DEVONthink helps to make you more productive by storing your information in a very searchable manner.
Is DEVONthink Pro worth?
If you run a Mac and have a data need that needs to be scratched then DEVONthink is a tool that is worth consideration. In my opinion when it comes to data capture and search there is no real competition out there for DEVONthink. It is such a powerful and effective tool that it really is in a class all its own.
Does DEVONthink work on pc?
DEVONthink is not available for Windows but there are plenty of alternatives that runs on Windows with similar functionality. The best Windows alternative is Joplin.
Is DEVONthink secure?
DEVONthink To Go does not encrypt the data on disk as iOS devices are encrypted by default. As of this writing we still trust Apple here. But if you leave your devices behind unlocked, anyone could open the app and have a look at your data.
How much does DEVONthink cost?
The standard version of DEVONthink 3 costs $99, with DEVONthink Pro 3 priced at $149 and DEVONthink Server 3 at $499. Where are DEVONthink files?
Your documents that have been imported into DEVONthink databases are located in those databases. You can locate databases by looking at the File menu, Database Properties… and you can locate individual documents in the database by looking at the Data menu, Show in Finder.
