How do you make powdered chili?

Method

  1. Remove stems and cut chillies lengthways.
  2. Place chilli halves on a tray lined with baking paper. The more seeds you leave in, the hotter the chilli powder will be.
  3. Bake for 1 – 2 hours, or until completely dry.
  4. Crush in a mortar & pestle or grind in a food processor.
  5. Store in a dry, airtight container.
