Why do I find physics easier than chemistry?

Physics is slightly harder than chemistry because it is more math-oriented and has more abstract concepts. At the high school level, chemistry is actually more difficult than physics. During high school, most students find chemistry more difficult than physics.

Why do I find chemistry so hard?

One reason so many students find chemistry difficult is the abstract nature of the concepts (Yakmaci-Guzel, 2013). Students are taught enormous amounts of content, with massive books that they cannot learn from, leading to cognitive overload.

If we look into the past years papers of JEE Main and JEE Advanced, it is mostly seen that the difficulty level of Physics is the highest followed by Math. Chemistry is easier in comparison and is considered to be one of the most scoring subjects. If you look deeper, each subject has a difficult portion.

Which is tough math or chemistry?

In general the answer to the question is subjective. If hardcore math like theorems and their proofs interest you, you will feel mathematics is easier than chemistry. If you like the application of these theorems, then chemistry is easier.

Is math similar to chemistry?

Basic chemistry is mostly math, advanced chemistry is mostly theory so without math skills chemistry will be a struggle if the math comes relatively easily then you should have an advantage trying to visualize the concepts. Math is required to study every subject.

Regularly, I am witness to the fact that the very mention of the word “chemistry” can fill people with dread – but it doesn’t have to! Give chemistry a chance and you’ll understand the beauty and wonder that it can have. To be perfectly honest, in high school I hated chemistry too.

If only the same thing occurred when you were studying chemistry. Those who love chemistry from first sight often find it easier to understand, but it’s definitely possible to understand chemistry even if you don’t feel passionate about it at first.

Why should I study chemistry?

As you learn more about chemistry, you’ll begin to find it is the perfect balance between the more conceptual sciences like physics and math, and the more palpable sciences like biology and geology.
