Do military doctors go to OCS?

Not to regular basic training but they will go to OCS Officer Candidate School they still have to learn how to act as military Officers.

What are the requirements for OCS?

You must be a U.S. citizen and have your bachelor’s degree by the time you are commissioned as an Officer. The general age requirement is between 19 and 32. You also have to be eligible for a secret security clearance. If you’re current military, you can’t have more than six years of active service before joining OCS.

Army doctors do not have to go through basic training. Instead, they attend a six-week Officer Basic Leadership Course, which teaches about military life and the role of a leader [source: U.S. Army]. Keep in mind that the Army requires the same high academic qualifications as any medical school.
