Will NEET be Cancelled in Tamil Nadu in 2021?

Tamil Nadu Government has passed Anti-NEET Bill 2021 in sate assembly today to ban NEET exam in the state. The bill says, “NEET is not an equitable method of admission”. Students would now get admissions to UG Medical courses, based on the qualifying HSC +2 marks.

After Tamil Nadu banning the exam in the state, even Maharashtra Congress Chief Nana Patole has raised similar demands. Patole said that NEET exam not just causes injustice but is also a reason of inequality and hence the state’s students must be exempted from giving the exam.
