How can I get job in railway after electrical engineering?

To get a job in Indian Railways as an Electrical Engineer you have two options:

  1. RRB JE : This exam is conducted for the post of junior engineer and is conducted by Railway Recuritment Board.
  2. ESE: This exam is conducted by UPSC for the post of AE in Railway.

Can a diploma holder apply for RRB?

Yes, candidates passed diploma degree are eligible to appear for RRB examination for various posts. You can appear for Loco Pilot and other jobs. The eligibility to appear for examination is candidate must have passed diploma from any recognised university.

Can diploma holder apply for TC in railway?

The educational qualification required for a candidate is that he or she must possess 10+2 certificates from a recognised board or university. Candidates with a three-year diploma or an ITI certificate can also apply for TC jobs.

What is the work of JE electrical?

JE Electrical is a supervisor in electrical department of Railways. JE can be posted either station or Production Units. If posted in a station he will be in charge of the electrical installations of the station like bulbs, fan, pumps, generators etc. He will have technicians under him to actually do the job.
