How did the derelict ship end up on LV-426?
Last appearance. The derelict on LV-426, codenamed Origin and also known as the alien derelict, was a crashed Engineer Juggernaut. The ship was believed to have crashed on LV-426 several millennia prior to the arrival of the Nostromo.

TennoCon 2020 revealed that the Orokin Derelict would be revised, with the Derelict Keys being retired to allow public matchmaking and the Derelict itself becoming an new celestial body named Deimos, an Infested moon orbiting Mars.
Where did the derelict come from?
The Derelict is the informal designation for the spacecraft discovered on the Acheron LV-426 moon and operated by the mysterious Space Jockey race. In 2122 an unknown warning signal broadcast from the Derelict summoned the Weyland-Yutani commercial hauler USCSS Nostromo to the Acheron moon.
Was Bishop an android in Alien 3?
As mentioned in the opening of this piece, Bishop II appears at the end of Alien 3 in an attempt to acquire the chestburster inside Ellen Ripley for Weyland-Yutani’s bio-weapons division. What is the significance of Weyland-Yutani in Aliens?
When James Cameron was assigned to write and direct the sequel, the role and significance of Weyland-Yutani increased greatly, becoming an indispensable element in Alien lore. The original Weyland-Yutani logo was an Egyptian winged-sun emblem; it was modified to its current corporo-industrial interlocked W/Y for Aliens.
