It’s official. Wearing glasses doesn’t mean you’re a nerd but it could be a sign that you’re more intelligent, new research shows. The research, which is published in the latest issue of the journal Investigative Ophthalmology and Visual Science, did find links between myopia, agreeableness and openness, however.

Although the stereotypical nerd loves science, science fiction, gaming, comics, and so on, you can be a nerd about all sorts of things — books, history, theatre, tech, fashion, and whatever else might keep you enthralled.

A big stereotype about nerds is that they don’t pay a lot of attention to what they wear or simply don’t have a good sense of fashion. If you don’t want to look like a nerd, try wearing more form-fitting, stylish clothing. You’ll also want to stand tall and speak up since a lot of people assume that nerds are shy and unsocial.
