Can FASTag get damaged?

What if the FASTag gets damaged? In case the FASTag gets damaged, you as a vehicle owner / user should approach your Tag issuing bank and request them for a replacement.

Can FASTag work without sticking?

The FASTag comes as a sticker which is to be stuck on to the windshield of the car from inside. The ideal location is to stick it in the middle of the windshield right behind the inside rear view mirror. Once fixed there is little or no chance of tampering or removing the tag.

Is it compulsory to put FASTag on windshield?

The government of India has made it mandatory for all four-wheelers to install a FASTag on their vehicle. You should use FASTag as it offers multiple benefits to travelers in terms of saving time and efforts by eliminating the need to stand in long queues for hours.

What happens to FASTag if windshield broken?

If the glass of the vehicle is broken, often the FASTag gets spoiled, then you can change it anywhere. If you go to the bank or FASTag center yourself and take the second FASTag by showing the RC and documents of your car, then there will be no charge.

What if FASTag sticker is lost?

Please call our Customer Care on 1800 419 6606 for replacement of the FASTag. The new tag issued to you will be linked to your old tag account and relevant balance amount will be transferred in the new tag.

Can FASTag be duplicated?

In case of loss of FASTag RFID tag, you will need to call the customer care executives of the respective issuer agency to block your RFID tag. If the tag/sticker is damaged, you will need to get a duplicate reissued in your name for your car.

If the car is registered to a firm, the user can also submit his or her own identification. You can also contact your bank and enquire about the same.
