Which software can be used for prediction of toxicity in silico?

The VirtualToxLab is an in silico tool for predicting the toxic potential (endocrine and metabolic disruption, some aspects of carcinogenicity and cardiotoxicity) of drugs, chemicals and natural products.

Which software used in toxicity study?

For commercial software, we use ACD/Labs’ Percepta for prediction of physicochemical properties as it is known as a world leader in this area. We also use some Percepta ADMET endpoints too. For chemical nomenclature and chemical drawing we use ACD/Name and ACD/ChemSketch.

What is Derek software?

DEREK Nexus® is a modeling software which can be used to predict the likely toxicity of any given chemical structure, as well as offer detailed reasoning as to why.

What is toxicity prediction?

Toxicity prediction is very important to public health. Among its many applications, toxicity prediction is essential to reduce the cost and labor of a drug’s preclinical and clinical trials, because a lot of drug evaluations (cellular, animal, and clinical) can be spared due to the predicted toxicity.

What is in silico toxicity?

In silico toxicology is one type of toxicity assessment that uses computational methods to analyze, simulate, visualize, or predict the toxicity of chemicals. There are various methods for generating models to predict toxicity endpoints.

What is PreADMET?

PreADMET is a web-based application for predicting ADME data and building drug-like library using in silico method.

Which is the type of toxicity testing?

The main types (e.g., single- and multiple-species tests, monitoring, in vitro studies, etc.) and important elements of the relevant and reliable tests such as selection of the test organisms, test concentration(s), and test conditions are described in this chapter.

What measurement tool is used to measure toxic substances?

What can be used to measure these toxic compounds? A portable PID or gas chromatograph (GC)/PID that will be discussed in this paper.

What is Derek nexus?

Derek Nexus is expert, knowledge-based toxicology software which gives predictions for a variety of endpoints. Derek Nexus gives quantitative EC3 predictions for skin sensitisation. Negative predictions for bacterial mutagenicity and skin sensitisation are provided when no alert is fired.

How do you cite Derek nexus?

Derek Nexus: For a general overview of Derek Nexus, we recommend citing the Marchant et al (2008) paper. If considering skin sensitisation predictions in Derek Nexus, we recommend the paper by Langton et al (2006), Macmillan et al (2016) or Chilton et al (2018).

Which software predicts the toxicity of total of 12000 drugs?

The Tox21 Data Challenge has been the largest effort of the scientific community to compare computational methods for toxicity prediction. This challenge comprised 12,000 environmental chemicals and drugs which were measured for 12 different toxic effects by specifically designed assays.
