What is circuit in Ncdex?

The NCDEX futures contracts of barley, chana, cottonseed oilcake, mustard seed (RM Seed), refined soyabean oil, soyabean and turmeric hit the upper circuit after rallying in the range of 2-4 per cent on Monday. Second, the rally in soyabean, soyabean oil and mustard seed are triggered by international factors.

What does upper and lower circuit mean?

Upper Circuit/Lower Circuit – The exchange sets up a price band at which the stock can be traded in the market on a given trading day. The highest price the stock can reach on the day is the upper circuit limit, and the lowest price is the lower circuit limit.
