Can I use 5A cable on my phone?

All Pixel phones can charge with USB-C cables. For best results, use the power adapter that comes with some phones, like Pixel 5a (5G). You can wirelessly charge Qi-compliant accessories or phones, like Pixel Buds, through Battery Share on your Pixel 6 Pro, 6 or 5.

What if I charge my phone with lower amps?

There is absolutely no way lower amperage in any circumstances can damage any circuitry of any sort. The amperage is simply the amount of energy that is being sent into the phone. Less energy = Slower charge time.

Even if your charger has a rated current more than your phone, your phone consumes only 1 A, you cannot charge with a charger which has less current and voltage than that of your phone.
