Why is my 3ds Max render grainy?

If you’re using one of the new versions of 3DS Max, there is a new GI engine called GI Next which is set as default. This has a quality setting next to its enable parameter. It is around 0.25 as default and that’s grainy. This setting is found in Global Illumination tab of the Render Settings dialog.
