Both the boards have their own merits and demerits. The CBSE syllabus caters more for exams like JEE and AIPMT whereas the ICSE syllabus is perfect for scholarship examinations attuned to the world education standards. So, the choice is entirely yours!

Difference between CBSE and State Board Syllabus. CBSE is the acronym for The Central Board of Secondary Education. It is an Educational Board in India that offers students classes from pre-primary to class 10+2. The State Council Educational Research and Training (SCERT) has an affiliation to the government of that particular state.

Should I change the CBSE syllabus to ICSE syllabus?

It will be very unwise to change the syllabus in between. CBSE syllabus and ICSE syllabus each have their own merits and demerits. Most of the schools follow the CBSE syllabus as it is very useful for most of the competitive examinations in India. ICSE syllabus is preferred for English improvement and it is a simpler syllabus compared to ICSE.

What is the difference between ICSE and CBSE board?

The ICSE board follows the basics strengthening syllabus. Unlike in CBSE, as a student moves to higher standard, he once again has the previous standards basics in his new syllabus. For example, in CBSE, once complex numbers introduction is over, it is not repeated in higher standard.
