There are at least three or four “proto-Arabic” (or whatever you want to call it) languages spoken in Oman, in addition to the many people who speak Swahili or Baluchi.

Oman is a Desert: FALSE. Majority of Oman is covered by Mountains These are just a few stereotypes i found. You may comment to add more. Stereotypes are generally negative, but the one I would want to point out about Oman is a positive stereotype which is the people of Oman are very tolerant of other cultures.

In 2010, the United Nations Development Programme ranked Oman as the most improved nation in the world in terms of development during the preceding 40 years. A significant portion of its economy involves tourism and trading fish, dates and other agricultural produce.
